What to ask before you book

• Many flowers wilt quickly in Arizona heat. Ask which flowers hold up outdoors on your date, and when the florist will deliver.
• Desert styles with succulents, dried grasses and protea last longer in the heat and can cost less than delicate blooms.
• Ask whether ceremony flowers can be moved to the reception, which saves money.
• Confirm delivery, setup and pickup times, and whether rentals such as vases and arches are included.
• Share photos of your venue and color palette so they can suggest what is in season.
